The Episcopal Chapel of the Good Shepherd, located on the grounds of The Chautauqua Institution, welcomes all to worship during the nine-week Chautauqua season.

Priests from churches throughout the world-wide Anglican Communion are invited to apply to serve as chaplain for a week, making for interesting services and sermons.

Week 6; The Rev. Joyce Bearden McGirr, Priest and Spiritual Director at House of Prayer Episcopal Church, Newark, NJ

Week 7; The Rev. Robert Duerr, Priest, Conductor and Performance Organist, serving at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Niagara Falls, NY

Week 8; The Rev. Nancy Hagner, Rector, Trinity Church, Concord, MA 

Week 9; The Rev. Joseph Kozlowski, Priest serving at St. Mark's Episcopal Church,  North  Tonawanda, NY

In addition to summer worship services, weddings and baptisms and other special services can be scheduled at the chapel by contacting the Vicar.

This summer chapel is part of the Episcopal Diocese of Western New York:  Oversight is provided by the Diocese, the Good Shepherd Board of Trustees, and the chapel Vicar, the Rev. Virginia Carr.  Funding for the chapel is provided solely through contributions by summer residents and visitors.

Applications for Episcopal Chaplaincy in 2019 are invited. Download the materials from the chaplaincy page and submit by September 2018. Once the Vicar receives confirmation from the clergy who have been selected, the list will be posted on this website following the current Chautauqua season.
